Asatru means "faith in the gods"  is a modern reconstruction of the religion that the Germanic people (Teutonic tribe)practice before their conversion to Christianity.

   The name Asatru itself is a recent unvention however: the ancient Germanic languages did not even have a word for its religion , because people didn't think of religious practices as something separate from the rest of their culture.

     The Teutonic tribes are the one way of referring to "Germanic peoples" from what the Romans called Germania, from further north, into Saxony-Sacninavian countries.

  Not all Nordic people were vikings. and the women were treated a hell lot better then they are now days.

 

  We also follow what is called The Nine Noble Virtures

 

  Courage-- fortune favours the brave

  Truth--Honesty

   Honour --the importance of one's word

   Fidelity-- loyalty- true

   Hospitality -- what goes around comes around

   Industriousness-- never afraid to work

   Persererance -- stick to something stick to your promises and values.

   Self-Discipline-- honest with yourself be tough with yourself

   Self-Reliance -- only you can truley count on is yourself,. don't wait for someone else to solve your problems for you.
